Chris Joined British Rail in 1962 as a Booking Boy at Wycombe South SB, then moved to Saunderton in 1963. He moved back to Wycombe Middle/Beaconsfield/Wycombe South in 1964, returning to Wycombe South in 1972. Chris did a six-month stint at Slough before moving to Reading PSB as a Relief Signalman in December 1972. Chris spent 15 years at Reading, then moved to the Anglia Region as a Class A signalman. He proceeded to work his way back up through the signalling grades until he reached Assistant Signalling Manager at Ely, from where he took early retirement in 1995.
