Darren started with British Rail as a Shunter at the Network Southeast depot at Cow Lane, Reading, on the 23rd July 1990. He initially applied for a Signalman's post at Slough but was turned down. Not to be put off, Darren then applied for a post in Reading Panel in 1992 - and was accepted. He has been at Reading ever since...
