Eddie joined Railtrack in September 1997 as a
Crossing Keeper at Kintbury. In 2002 he gained a promotion to Reading PSB as a
Signalman on the Newbury position. In June 2003 Eddie elected to return to
Kintbury Crossing. When D. E. Canning retired in 2004, Eddie took the vacancy at
Colthrop, though he still grabs the occasional turn of duty at Kintbury.
