Jeff joined British Railways in 1962 as a Lad Telephonist and Booking Boy at Landilo Junction East Signal Box. During his long career Jeff worked as a a Signalman in Gowerton North, Carmarthen, Llanelli, Theale LC, Ufton, Midgham, Colthrop, Thatcham, Newbury East Jnc, Hamstead LC, Kintbury, Hungerford, Savernake, Woodborough, Lavington, Oxford PSB, Old Oak Common PSB, Acton East, Acton West, Greenford, Park Royal, and Reading PSB.
Jeff left Reading Panel to become the Area Signalling Inspector at Reading, before moving on to be Safety Assistant and Trainer/Assessor. Jeff describes himself as retired but looking for work!
