Kissie joined in 1990 and spent 6 years contracting, before leaving the rail industry to work for Foster Wheeler. He returned to the rail industry in 2001, working for Amey Railways as a Technician Grade 2. Kissie has since gained several qualifications and has progressed to a Grade 3 Senior Tech, spending his working days maintaining and fault finding in the Reading area.
