Mike started work for InterCity Great Western in 1994 as platform staff, before getting his first signalling post at Appleford Crossing Box in Feb 1995. Later that year Mike moved to Causeway Crossing Box, before gaining promotion to Reading PSB as a Newbury signalman in 1996. He has since passed to work all of the panel positions. Mike left the railway industry for pastures new in January 2005.
